Bel Canto Singers to perform at the Anywhere Festival
We are excited to announce our premiere performance at the Moreton Bay Anywhere Festival in May.
The Bel Canto Singers will be performing ‘The Sound of Stars’ in four cosy intimate venues, all free of charge to the public. Click onto each event for details:
REDCLIFFE MUSEUM – Sunday 15/5 @ 1.30pm (75 Anzac Ave Redcliffe)
ALBANY CREEK LIBRARY – Thursday 26/5 @ 6.00pm (16 Ferguson St, Albany Creek)
WOODFORD LIBRARY – Saturday 28/5 @ 10.00am (1 Elizbeth St, Woodford)
BRIBIE ISLAND SEASIDE MUSEUM – Sunday 29/5 @ 3.30pm (1 South Esplanade, Bongaree)
Our half-hour program mixes the pure sensibility of Sacred pieces with contemporary sounds to produce timeless haunting harmonies that we hope will lift your soul and delight your senses. Sacred pieces include works from renowned modern classical composers such as Ola Gjeilo and Javier Busto.
Then the audience will be transported to the 20th Century with a selection of popular nostalgic melodies such as ‘We’ll Meet Again’, ‘Summertime’ and ‘The Sound of Silence’ – performed in the dulcet harmonies of a Barbershop arrangement.
There is no need to book, put the dates in your diary and we look forward to sharing our music with you.
Special thanks to Melissa Western and the Moreton Bay Anywhere Festival for this amazing oppostunity!
