Reminiscence

Join the Bel Canto Singers for Reminiscence—an intimate and uplifting evening of music hosted in the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the Redcliffe Treehouse. Crafted to stir the soul and awaken fond memories, this performance beautifully weaves together the spirited warmth of live jazz and the quiet wonder of modern classical masterpieces.

Backed by a brilliant guest trio from the Jazz Music Institute (JMI)—featuring Patrick Baldwin (Piano), Isaac Worland (Bass), and Lochlan Robinson (Drums)—the choir brings vibrant energy and swing to Bob Chilcott’s celebrated Little Jazz Mass and Jazz Songs of Innocence. In beautiful contrast, the program features the glowing, transcendent soundscapes of modern choral masters Ēriks Ešenvalds, Ola Gjeilo, and Eric Whitacre.

It is a performance that reminds us choral music can be both deeply moving and wonderfully playful.
